Monk and Yang, co-founder of First Street Partnerships, discussed how AI, despite concerns about widening the racial wealth gap, can be a tool for wealth creation for Black individuals. He emphasized that AI fluency involves understanding how to direct the technology and applying human judgment, critical thinking, and experience. AI can help overcome traditional barriers to entry in entrepreneurship and corporate roles by executing tasks at lightning speed, allowing individuals to focus on their "zone of genius" and form collectives to share resources and clients.

Artificial intelligence could exacerbate this racial wealth gap. Monk and Yang... emphasizes that training is key to bridging this gap. (52:22) The technology that is AI can actually be used to participate in some of this wealth transfer... it puts small business owners... in a position where they can really take advantage of what the power is that AI possesses. (53:37) The real important thing is your judgment your critical thinking skills... when you put the human judgment, your human context... and you add that to the fact that AI can then execute that for you at a lightning speed, you can then do things that you would have never been able to do before. (55:12)
