According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $4.07, down $0.09 from last Monday. However, gas prices remain $1.12 higher than where they stood before the war began.

Storytelling is just at the core of human-to-human communication. For so many years people have tried to tell our stories for us or erase our stories altogether. I've been fortunate to work with Wyclef Jean, MC Lite, Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins... Pencils of Power... started as a hip-hop writing program and it has morphed into a literacy, mentoring, and cultural awareness program. We actually just reached our 100th school this past December. Playtime Worldwide... we would host the largest game nights on the East Coast up to 700 700 800 people. By way of the game nights and our Topic Talk speed dating and our Facebook group of 25,000 people where we've reached just under 20 married couples. We also have the PT Village helping families with resources, students, and individuals experiencing hardship.

Don Long II, a Black commercial truck driver, was brutally assaulted by Deputy Gregory Colson in a Northampton County Courthouse. Long, who was trying to enter a courtroom, was shoved, punched, and pepper-sprayed by Colson, as captured on video. Despite Colson's resignation during an ongoing criminal investigation, he has not been charged. The assault left Long with permanent 20/80 vision and scarring, requiring surgery, and severely impacting his livelihood. Civil rights attorneys have filed a $20 million lawsuit, highlighting the unprovoked nature of the attack and the lack of criminal accountability for the deputy.

Black man in a courthouse, just simply walking out. All of a sudden, he gets attacked by this officer in the court. Don Long II, again, visibly walking through a doorway, wiping his eyes. He First of all, he was attacked. He got pepper sprayed. The deputy, Gregory Colson, he follows him on the video. Then, of course, all of a sudden, they began to swing at each other after Colson appears to take the first swing. He's actually shoved and punched Don inside that vestibule... he took out his OC pepper spray and sprayed Don directly in his eyes. Don was not charged with any crime related to this incident. To my understanding, the deputy Colson was resigned during the investigation. After this incident, due to the damage to his eyes, he now has 20/80 vision. He has permanent scarring in his eyes where he's scheduled to have surgery. This is the father of four... now left to try to figure out what's next. He has permanent damage and vision impairment due to this rogue deputy who assaulted him.
