These redactions originated from earlier stages, including FBI and grand jury documents, preventing the full disclosure of names of men Epstein trafficked women to.

Congress members Massie and Khanna stated, 'Our bigger concern is that there's still a lot that's redacted even in what we're seeing. We're seeing redacted versions. I thought we were supposed to see the unredacted versions.' They noted these were 'identical redactions' from the FBI and grand jury documents.

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's co-conspirator, invoked her Fifth Amendment right during a closed-door deposition. However, her attorney, David Marcus, publicly offered that Maxwell would 'speak fully and honestly' if granted clemency by President Trump, claiming she could provide a 'complete account' and exonerate both Trump and Clinton of any wrongdoing.

Maxwell's attorney stated, 'If this committee and the American public truly want to hear the unfiltered truth about what happened, there is a straightforward path. Miss Maxwell is prepared to speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump.'

Cadwalladr stated, 'I have been shocked, deeply, deeply shocked by the absence of headlines, by the absence of sensemaking across the US media... there is a sort of self surrendering self censorship which is going on in the United States right now and that I find really deeply pretty worrying.'

She frames him as a 'one-man intelligence service' facilitating a global 'trade in favors' among billionaires, politicians, and officials of hostile nations.

Cadwalladr explained, 'what the files show in absolute clarity in black and white is that those worlds are all connected. And the thing which blew my mind is that they're connected through Jeffrey Epstein. He is a a through line. It's not to say there aren't others, but this is what was the sort of stunning thing for me. And in some ways you can look at him and he's almost like a one-man sort of intelligence service I would say.'

Cadwalladr highlights a disturbing connection between tech platforms and the proliferation of child sexual interest content. She cites statistics that porn constitutes 25% of all internet searches, with 'teen' being the most searched term on Pornhub. Recommender algorithms on platforms like Instagram are also noted for connecting pedophiles to teenagers.
