Silver explains, 'We're going to move to a system like that where that whole category of calls will be automatic... it'll take all those so-called objective calls out of the hands of the referees.' He also discusses 'hyperpersonalization of games where now... people are going to have the ability... to focus on' specific aspects or commentary.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman attributes the league's success to the incredible skill and speed of play, a worldwide talent pool, and effective media partnerships.
