An Atlanta judge ruled that the Justice Department can retain over 600 boxes of 2020 election ballots seized during an FBI search in January. This decision is framed as a 'rare victory' for the Trump administration's pursuit of widely discredited claims of widespread voter fraud, allowing the FBI to investigate whether election records were improperly retained or if Fulton County residents were denied a fair election.

Tennessee Republicans are accused of illegal gerrymandering by proposing a new map that splits the ninth congressional district, dividing the state's only majority-Black congressional seat in Memphis. Critics, including State Senator London Lamar and Representative Gloria Johnson, label this a 'racist political power grab' aimed at diluting Black political power for a 'greater white agenda and for control,' despite the district being an 'organic' representation of a cohesive Black voting-age population.

Roland Martin states, 'They've released a map that splits the state's ninth congressional district and divides Tennessee's only majority black congressional seat located in Memphis.' Senator London Lamar calls it 'one of the most racist actions that is ever being taken in modern legislative history here.' Representative Gloria Johnson refers to the special session as a 'white power rally.' Professor Seiku Franklin testified, 'This proposal is racially discriminatory, unconstitutional, and undermines existing election administration system... It is an organic congressional district naturally emerging by virtue of location, geography, and shared interests.'

Body Buzz Urban Farm, a 4.2-acre community-centered farm in Indianapolis, focuses on making fresh, organically grown food accessible in predominantly Black neighborhoods, which often face food deserts. The farm also provides educational classes on growing and preserving food, and offers wellness spaces to address chronic illnesses linked to poor nutrition.

Founder David Johnson explains, 'The farm started to address food insecurities in our community... by making fresher food more available in food deserts, we believe that we could combat that crisis and start to lower those chronic illnesses in our community.' He mentions growing over 5,000 pounds of food on half an acre.

The Evolving Entrepreneurs Accelerator and Archive, founded by Ladina Brown of Midwest League Magazine, is an Indianapolis-based initiative supporting Black and Brown entrepreneurs and creatives. The program offers business development, storytelling, media training, and networking, with a focus on documenting their journeys to build a lasting legacy beyond fleeting social media content.

Ladina Brown states, 'We wanted the opportunity to support some of the spaces that we saw a need... letting the entrepreneurs have a hand in telling their own stories through a docu series.' She emphasizes the importance of documenting their legacy because 'a lot of things are kind of like they happen and then people forget about them.'
