Minnesota governor deals BAD NEWS for Trump, Noem, and ICE

Governor Walz frames the deployment of ICE and Border Patrol in Minnesota as an 'occupation,' arguing that it was driven by political calculations rather than genuine law enforcement needs. He believes Trump's conversation with him was an attempt to find an 'off-ramp' from a politically damaging situation, as public opinion had turned against the federal actions.

Walz states, 'the president was having that conversation because of the thousands of motans who were on the street and because of the murder of Renee and Alex.' He adds, 'for them it is a big political problem.'

Walz vehemently condemns the federal administration, including figures like Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller, for immediately slandering deceased citizens Alex Prey and Renee Good and pre-clearing the ICE agents responsible for their deaths. He highlights the trauma inflicted on families and the broader community by these actions.

Walz states, 'this is outrageous to be smurchch these people's names and and to talk to a set of parents or talk to a spouse who at simultaneously is receiving news within hours their loved one is brutally murdered in front of the world and then have the most powerful people in the world tell lies about someone.'

Despite federal obstruction, including disregarding a judicial warrant and withholding evidence, Governor Walz asserts Minnesota's unwavering commitment to conducting state-level investigations into the deaths of Alex Prey and Renee Good. He states that if indictments are warranted, the ICE officers will be brought back to Minnesota to stand trial.

Walz declares, 'We absolutely will [investigate]. That is an absolute commitment to to those families... We were prepared this time and we were already the minute that this happened. We went to a court and we got a judicial warrant to be on that site and they disregarded the judicial warrant.' He adds, 'if we do an investigation and an indictment is warranted, these ICE officers are coming back to Minnesota and stand trial.'

Walz accuses the federal government of employing 'mob boss tactics,' citing instances where they allegedly froze SNAP program funds and attempted to extort Minnesota's voter files. He links these actions to a broader strategy of intimidation and invasion, disconnected from legitimate border security concerns.

Walz states, 'They're freezing our money. They're taking our money from our SNAP programs. Hell, they decided while they were at it, why don't we just extort them for their voter files?'

Governor Walz predicts significant political consequences for Republicans due to these federal actions. He believes the moral outrage and widespread public opposition in Minnesota will translate into high voter turnout against the party in upcoming elections.

Walz predicts, 'You are not going to see anything like the number of people who vote in November. And I got to tell you, there's there's people around Donald Trump, at least a few of them must recognize that said we are going to get our asses handed to us in November.'
