BREAKING UPDATE in Kristi Noem IMPEACHMENT

Congressman Robert Garcia is a co-author of an impeachment resolution against Kristi Noem, currently before Congress. He argues that Noem should be impeached or resign immediately due to alleged abuses by ICE under her command, which he claims include 'ripping up our Constitution,' violating due process for US citizens, and causing deaths.

Garcia states, 'She should be impeached. I mean, look, if if Kristi Noem doesn't resign uh or removed from office, that impeachment procedure should start immediately. I'm one of the the co-authors of the impeachment resolution that's now in front of uh the Congress.' He further details, 'what she's done to rip up our Constitution, due process for US citizens, the way she's treating people, the way that she and her agents have now, of course, now are killing Americans and people on the streets of our country.'

There is a notable shift in public opinion, with 70% of Americans disapproving of ICE's actions. Surprisingly, right-wing groups like the NRA, Gun Owners of America, and former Bush officials are also publicly opposing the administration's conduct, particularly regarding civil liberties and the actions of ICE agents. This indicates a broader discontent extending beyond traditional political divides.

The host notes, 'now we have another issue that's become a 70-30 issue with the way that ICE is abusing their position. You know, 70% of Americans, again, do not approve of what we're seeing right now at the hands of ICE.' Garcia adds, 'It's been really great to actually see some of these right-wing groups come out. I mean, the fact that the NRA said anything Yeah. uh it it I think it's a really important step forward.'

Garcia emphasizes that moving forward with a new agenda is insufficient without holding those responsible for past 'wrongdoing' accountable. He argues that a lack of accountability emboldens individuals to commit further 'criminal acts with impunity.' Specific individuals like Donald Trump, his family, Pam Bondi, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem are named as needing to face investigations, subpoenas, contempt charges, and impeachment to establish a deterrent effect.

Garcia states, 'we cannot just move on. We cannot just pretend that this didn't happen. We can't just put together this forward-looking agenda and not actually then hold those that caused harm accountable.' He specifically mentions, 'folks like Pam Bondi and Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem, these folks have to be held accountable.'

Congressman Garcia asserts that ICE is beyond reform and must be abolished. He characterizes ICE as a 'paramilitary force' solely accountable to Donald Trump, arguing that its functions should be re-integrated into other federal law enforcement agencies that existed prior to ICE's formation.

When asked if ICE is salvageable, Garcia responds, 'No, you have to abolish ICE. There's no question. Look, this is not a an an agency that can be reformed. It's not an agency that we can somehow retrain. ICE needs to be abolished and we need to begin to rebuild real federal law enforcement, which we had in this country before.' He describes it as 'essentially paramilitary force that's only accountable to Donald Trump.'
