They explicitly disavowed the Second Amendment and justified the killing of an 'illegally armed citizen' (Freddy) who did nothing wrong, despite gun rights being a central tenet of their political base. This stands in stark contrast to how they would react if a left-leaning administration took similar actions.

The administration's response to the killing of Freddy, where 'everyone in the Trump administration began speaking about this killing not only as though it were justified' (05:40) and 'all of them disavowed the Second Amendment explicitly' (06:06). Harris notes that under a different administration, 'you would see something like an insurrection' (08:27).

Harris argues that the 'social justice moral panic' and 'leftist identity politics' (wokeness) around 2019-2020, while stemming from a desire to level the playing field, ultimately pushed many non-racist right-of-center individuals towards white identity politics. He views this as an 'odious' counter-reaction amplified by the extremes.
