A New York Times exposé, based on interviews with 45 FBI employees, described the Bureau under Director Kash Patel as 'hell.' Patel, a former public defender with no FBI experience, allegedly removed top executives connected to Trump prosecutions, stated 'I don't read' briefing materials, and prioritized social events over intelligence meetings. He was also accused of using FBI jets for personal travel, attempting to post secret intelligence photos on social media, and having employees polygraphed for negative comments about him. His deputy, Dan Bongino, a right-wing podcaster, attempted to implement a physical fitness test that would disproportionately disqualify female agents.

Bill Gates apologized to his staff for two affairs with Russian women while married to Melinda Gates. Epstein allegedly discovered these affairs and attempted to blackmail Gates, writing in an email that if the affairs went public, 'Bill risks going from the richest man to the biggest hypocrite. Melinda a laughing stock.' Epstein also shamed Gates for allegedly being 'cheap' with his mistresses. Gates denied doing anything illicit and claimed Epstein tried to 'claim a role in Gates' orbit.'

Peter Attia, chief science officer for David Protein Bars and a prominent longevity doctor, exchanged emails with Epstein. In June 2015, Attia sent Epstein a photo of metformin bottles with the subject 'got a fresh shipment.' Attia also emailed Epstein's assistant, 'I go into JE withdrawal when I don't see him,' and sent Epstein an email stating, 'Pussy is indeed low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten content though.'
