Donald Trump asserted in a New York Times interview that the 1964 Civil Rights Act 'very badly treated' white people, claiming it led to 'reverse discrimination' where qualified white individuals were denied university admissions or jobs. This statement is integrated into a broader conservative agenda, notably Project 2025, which aims to dismantle civil rights protections, affirmative action, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, framing them as detrimental to white men and promoting 'white rage' as a political tool.
