Ian Fidance! | Are You Garbage Comedy Podcast w/ Kevin Ryan & H. Foley

Comedian Ian Fidance has launched a new YouTube series, 'Ian Do an Odd Guy Doing Odd Jobs,' in partnership with YMH. The show features Fidance taking on various unconventional jobs, often sourced through fan outreach from the 'Are You Garbage?' podcast. Past roles include a pit boss at Terry Black's BBQ, head of security at the Comedy Mothership, a licensed tattoo artist (after a 65-dollar, one-hour course in Wisconsin), and an oyster farmer in Maine.

Fidance states, 'I've been working on it for a year. I've been filming it out of pocket for a year. And thank you out there to the AY fans, best fans in the world, you guys were messaging me, emailing me, and I got out to some jobs because of the pod that uh contacted me.' He later lists specific jobs: 'I was a pit boss at Terry Blacks... I was head of security at the comedy Mothership... I got my tattoo license in Wisconsin... I oyster farmed in Maine.'

Ian Fidance revealed a newly completed, large back tattoo that extends from his shoulders to his lower back. The tattoo features a grim reaper holding a woman, which Fidance explains symbolizes 'death is always on my back and women will be the death of me.' The tattooing process took four and a half hours, during which he fainted at the end due to pain and the need to stay hydrated.

Fidance describes it: 'it goes from my shoulders down to my ass, covering my my whole entire back.' He explains the meaning: 'it's a grim reaper holding a woman because the death is always on my back and women will be the death of me.' He also mentions, 'Four and a half hours. I passed out at the end. Fainted.'

Fidance recounted a past incident from his carpentry days where he bit a slug for a $20 bet. He fortunately spit it out, as he later learned that consuming slugs can lead to 'rat lung,' a severe parasitic infection that caused a kid in Australia to go into a coma, become paralyzed, and eventually die. This story underscores Fidance's history of engaging in bizarre and risky activities.

Fidance states, 'I made a bet this guy bet me 20 bucks I wouldn't eat a slug so I bid it in half. I spit it out. Thank God because if I ate it, I would have went into a coma and died cuz I would have gotten rat lung.' He elaborates on the Australian case: 'This kid This kid in Australia went into a [__] coma for like 426 days and then he [__] was paralyzed and then died.'
