After JB calls the Department of Energy, agents arrive to take away the entity's mysterious 'box.' Despite this intervention, his mom later reveals to JB, 'Too bad we're in that box,' implying that both his dad and she have been consumed and trapped within the entity's domain, leaving JB alone with the consequences of his choices.
