He introduces a 'wood for good' program to mitigate wildfire risk in forest areas by working with environmentally sound milling companies. This program would thin forests, reduce fire risk, lower insurance costs, provide soft lumber to decrease construction expenses, and create new jobs.

If you are an insurer who leaves the state there's a 36-month penalty before you can come back in. We need to bring more competition in immediately... Part of my plan is called wood for good. We have the most forest area in the whole country and in the highest wildfire risk areas. What I will do as governor is work with environmentally sound milling companies to mitigate the fire risk.
