Miko Peled, despite coming from a highly patriotic Zionist family with deep ties to Israel's founding and serving in its special forces, realized he lived in a 'bubble' on the privileged side of an apartheid system. His journey led him to understand that he was born in a country called Palestine, occupied by a regime calling itself Israel, prompting him to advocate for Palestinian rights.

Peled states, 'I was born and raised in a country called Palestine, which is occupied by a regime that calls itself Israel.' His realization stemmed from growing up in a 'privileged sphere' and breaking out of an 'information bubble' (01:39, 02:16, 02:31).

Israeli society, its education system, and media foster an inherently racist and supremacist discourse that dehumanizes Palestinians. This creates a reality where Israelis 'don't see the Palestinians,' viewing them through stereotypes of terrorists and primitives. Physical segregation is absolute, even in 'mixed cities' like Jerusalem, preventing meaningful interaction.

Peled explains, 'the education system... and the atmosphere and the discourse within society and the discourse in the media is so inherently racist and supremacist that you don't see the Palestinians.' He notes Jerusalem is 'completely segregated that you don't see Palestinians' (03:07, 03:47).

The claim that the IDF is the 'most moral army in the world' is a fabrication. Peled asserts that the state of Israel was established through a 'massive campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing' between 1947-1949 (the Nakba), and the militias that committed these crimes became the Israeli army. He cites the 1982 Lebanon invasion as a personal 'wake-up call' to the lies and lack of morality.

Peled states, 'it was clear that there was no morality in that army, that there was no morality within the state or regime... because it was all based on lies and it was all based on on the massacre of Palestinians and and the displacement of Palestinians.' He identifies the 1947-1949 events as 'a massive campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing' (06:09, 06:55).

Peled explicitly defines Zionism as 'inherently white supremacy.' He argues that the Zionist narrative of a unified Jewish nation and a historical homeland in Palestine is 'completely made up,' with no real commonality between diverse Jewish communities beyond shared religious laws. This fabricated history serves to justify the conquest and displacement of Palestinians.

Peled argues, 'There's no West Bank. It's been completely integrated except for except for ghettos which within which Palestinians live.' He adds, 'there's no way to splice up the country' and questions the determination of who 'gets what part of the country' (29:01, 29:59, 30:21).

The only viable solution is to dismantle the 'apartheid cruel apartheid genocidal regime' of Israel and replace it with a 'free Palestine with equal rights' across all of historic Palestine, 'from the river Jordan to the Mediterranean.' This would involve holding elections, ensuring one person, one vote, and allowing Palestinian refugees to return, liberating both Palestinians and Israelis into a true democracy.

Peled states the options are to 'maintain our support for an apartheid cruel apartheid genocidal regime, called Israel, or we fight to dismantle it and replace it with a free Palestine with equal rights.' He clarifies this means 'all of it from the river Jordan to the Mediterranean' (31:08, 33:03).

Palestinians who are citizens of Israel face systemic discrimination and apartheid. They are governed by multiple, discriminatory bureaucracies (e.g., 'Judaizing the Galilee,' separate governance for Bedouin in the Naqab), denied essential resources like water (receiving only 3% for 7.5 million Palestinians), and require approval from the Shabak (secret police) for basic life functions like driver's licenses or jobs.

Peled details how 'Palestinian Jerusalemites... are residents. They're not citizens.' He describes 'Judaizing the Galilee' and Bedouin in the Naqab living 'without water, roads, access to education.' He emphasizes the control of the Shabak: 'You cannot get a driver's license... unless you get the approval of the secret police first' (35:33, 36:38, 38:26).

The 1917 Balfour Declaration, where the UK's foreign minister, Lord Balfour, expressed favor for a Jewish homeland in Palestine, was a classic act of settler colonialism. Peled characterizes it as 'one white supremacist giving another white white supremacist a land that belongs to other people completely,' highlighting that neither party had any legitimate right to Palestine, which was a thriving country at the time.

Peled states, 'the Zionists came in and slowly but surely killed it [Yiddish culture], started building what they call like Jewish day schools... which are private Zionist schools.' He adds, 'they foresaw, for example, that Zionism is going to be equated with racism. So, they created a new definition of anti-Semitism that includes if you reject Zionism' (45:13, 47:08).

According to Jewish faith, Jews were expelled from the Holy Land for sinning and are prohibited from a mass return or taking over the land until the Messiah comes. The religious craving for Jerusalem is about worship, not sovereignty or a modern state. Zionism, by establishing a state through conquest and displacement, inherently violates Jewish law, specifically 'Thou shalt not steal' and 'Thou shalt not murder.'

Peled explains that 'Jews sinned and were therefore expelled... they're not allowed to return until such day that the almighty shows them that it's okay to return.' He quotes Rabbi Beck: 'Thou shalt not steal. You see this? Thou shalt not murder. That's it. Because that's what Zionism is all about' (50:58, 52:43).
